Cricut Key of the Week & Free CCR Cutting File

I’m so excited for Close To My Heart’s newest Cricut baby…Artfully Sent. Unfortunately, due to some issues with ProvoCraft, we can’t get it until August. 😦 Boohoo. Thanks to the three that we do have though, Art Philosophy, Artiste and Artbooking, there is no shortage of creative possibilities.

The cartridge and key that I’m going to highlight today is Art Philosophy and the key on page 55.

I wanted to created a version of this gorgeous card that I found when looking for fancy fold ideas. In order to make the card, I welded two butterflies together in Cricut Craft Room. The two individual solid butterflies were then embossed with the Damask Embossing Folder from Close To My Heart and sanded to reveal the white core. Finally, I added the scroll butterfly cut from silver glitter paper. On the inside of the card, just above the sentiment, I added a strip of scalloped glitter paper to act as the ‘stop’ on the easel card.
