Transfers

Our AMAZING transfers are a silk screen material and can be used (a very conservative) 8-12 times (per industry standard). However, the type of the material you use the transfers on (i.e., non-porous vs. fibrous) and how you care for your transfers makes a big difference as to how many uses you can get out of a transfer.

Our transfers come in five different sizes which allows you to chalk or ink at your comfort level. Keep in mind though, that just because a transfer is large, many are actually multi-images that get cut apart…so don’t allow yourself to automatically shy away from the larger transfers.

Pastes & Inks

We carry to mediums…Chalkology PASTES and Chalkology INKS.

Our pastes are so easy to use. They spread like “butta” and come in 41 colors (30 classic and 11 shimmers), dries to a hard-MATTE finish and can be either scraped off and/or washed off with water! You can use paste on just about any surface. If you want to make a surface permanent, you can use a spray sealer to do so.

Speaking of permanent, if your aiming for a permanent design and the surface can be heated, our inks are the way to go. For example, fabrics that can be ironed and dishes that can go in the oven. The inks come in 24 colors (21 classic and 3 shimmers) and do require to be heat set to become permanent.

Having a choice between inks and pastes makes the possibilities of what can be done with Chalk Couture virtually endless. Not sure which is best for your project? Feel free to ask me.

Surfaces

Chalk Couture can pretty much be used on ANY surface. I have used our Chalkology Pastes and Inks on boards, glass, wood, metal and canvas. It can also be used on appliances, walls, tiles and pretty much anything you can think of. Even though you can use our Chalkology Paste and Ink on any surface, our Chalk Couture Surfaces have been optimized to work with our pastes and inks to give you the BEST results.
Just know though, that not all surfaces are created equal. Even though you can chalk on virtually any surface, many of our Chalk Couture surfaces are reusable. With just water, you can remove designs that have been on the board for months and months without ghosting and without damage. You cannot say the same about chalkboards that you find at the craft or home decor stores.
