I am so blessed to be married to my “habit” supporting husband for over 30 years and the mom to two wonderful adult children. I’m also mom to two cats and three Labrador retrievers. After 15 years, I resigned from teaching middle school to pursue other interests and honestly, reduce stress in my life.
I first learned of Tula XII at the end of 2020 through online vendor events that I participated in with another direct sales company, but didn’t pay too much attention to it because I am sooooo not a “planner” girl and already had a graveyard of January planners. You know. The planners you start in January with the sincere intention of organizing your life, but give up by February? LOL Several months later though, I was co-hosting an online scrapbook retreat (Covid had shut down my in-person scrapbook retreat business during that time) and needed to find vendors. I recalled Tula XII and thought it would be a nice complement to our event, so I reached out to a Brand Ambassador and she (thankfully) accepted the opportunity. It’s during that event, when I realized while watching her demo that THIS was the planner that I needed! It was so customizable! I could get inserts that fit MY life; not what someone else thought I should have and there were even inserts that I could specifically use for my DS business! I knew I had to try it and because I can be a bit of a “kit-napper”, I jumped right in and joined the company before ever laying my hands on the product.
That was in March of 2021 and here I am more than two years later! I never have been, nor will I ever be a master planner or time manager. I believed that before Tula XII and I especially believe it after being diagnosed with ADHD last year. Man! Was that like stepping out of a dark room into a bright sunny day! I always just figured I was a bit of a loser…absent minded, a bit flighty, a slow learner, always behind, disorganized, late to everything, etc. The diagnosis gave me clarity, which in turn has given me more power over my daily life than I ever imagined. Since the diagnosis I am first and foremost, kinder and more forgiving of myself. I’m now better able to accept and recognize my weaknesses and continualy work at learning what I can about ADHD (especially in women) and implementing strategies to help me succeed more often. I’ve learned many of the time management and planning strategies through Tula XII. (I could never have imagined that this little direct sales company could have been such a positive influence in my life!) Like I mentioned at the beginning of this paragraph, I will never be the master planner, BUT as I also stated, I am more forgiving of myself, so when I struggle to “plan” or be consistent, I just look at each day as a chance to try again and then I do. THAT is what I hope to impart on anyone who comes across this blog post, follows me on Facebook or meets me in person. We are perfectly imperfect and that’s perfectly okay.
I’d love to help others as much as Tula XII has helped me, especially those that struggle like I do. If that sounds like you, be sure to click on the “Stay Connected” tab at the top of this page and follow me where you can or if you have a question or thought that you’d like to share with me, just reach out to me via my Contact Form or through my Facebook Page (@Managed Mayhem – TulaXII with Tamytha Jenkins).
Happy (imperfect) planning!!
