I received an “all-call” email requesting people who would be willing to teach for the Virtual Convention. I volunteered, but explained to Mary that I was new to CTMH, but that I was an experienced stamper/scrapbooker. I was a little worried that some would find it odd, maybe even a little offensive that someone who has only been with CTMH less than two months would be teaching a Virtual Convention class. However, Mary was fine with the idea and I finally convinced myself to stop worrying about it (I always worry waaaayyy too much about what other people think.)
Anyway, I’ve really been wanting to make a card using the “cracked glass” method and I just received a stamp set last week that I (finally) ordered, called “Happy Journey” that lent itself really well for this technique. At least I think it does. I made a card once before using this technique…years ago…and I LOVED the way it turned out. I still have the card…just can’t give it away. Maybe I’ll upload it to my blog in a few days (I’m gonna be out of town the next couple of days). Ooooo, maybe….I can do a video tutorial on this. Hmmmm….another one to ponder.
At any rate, I am quite pleased with the card. I used all CTMH products (except some of the tools) and they included the following:
My Reflections Passages Level 2 Paper Pack – #X7126B
“Happy Journey” MyAcrylix stamp set – #D1428
Marks Passages Epoxy Clip – #Z1318
Chocolate Exclusive Inks Stamp Pad – #Z2111
Desert Sand Exclusive Inks Stamp Pad – #Z2118
VersaMark Ink Pad – #Z891
StazOn Ink Pad – #Z888
Colonial White Brads – #Z1218

Hi Tammy! Just sent you the tutorial on the rolling tote and had to come “check you out”! LOL. Love your site! I'm now following. Love this card too. I agree, this stamp set made me think of the cracked glass technique too. We used to have a Christmas type one that was stained glass images. Tons of us used this technique on that too. Hopefully they'll be bringing back a replacement since it's now retired. Anywho – Love what you did – you'll be an awesome teacher for VC. Have a great day! Gloria
