This is the fourth of the five layouts that I entered into the album contest earlier this month at the Close To My Heart Convention.  As I mentioned in this post, I didn’t start these pages until a week before I left for convention.  I completed this layout the night before I flew out to Dallas.  You can definitely see that it is much more simple than the first three layouts I did.  It’s actually more like the layouts I would normally do for my album.  Of course, I love it, because it features my hubby and beautiful babies (though they’re not really babies any more). 😦

I like how the lines in the plaid paper represents the “rays” in my title.

I used the curled paper strip technique that I used in another layout that used the Dotty for You papers.  I also used a border stamp from the Family Love set and added bitty opaques in the center of the flowers and where I connected the images.

Here I folded the corner back and added a little square of polka dot paper.  A technique my upline, Sherri Tozzi, uses frequently…and one that I love.

I used one of the stamps in the Family Love stamp set to stamp on the Color-ready Cork letters.  I also inked the edge of an acrylic block with desert sand and used it to stamp my journaling lines.
