I have to tell you, I (personally) don’t always have an easy time using the CTMH Workshop-on-the-Go stamp sets to make cards, as they often are designed with scrapbook pages in mind. Every now and then though, one of the kits has a stamp set in it that makes me say…”Gotta have it!” and the kit that I’m highlighting this month, Tommy, is one of those sets. I absolutely love this stamp set. (You can see it here.) As much as I love the “Stormy Seas…” sentiment, I think my favorite image is the globe, but I love the banners, too, though oddly enough I didn’t use that stamp in the following projects.
The above card is based on this week’s sketch at Unscripted Sketches. I chose to turn the sketch 90 degrees and to use twine and Durables Studs in place of the three circles in the sketch.
Supplies used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Papers: Tommy B&T, White Daisy CS, Cranberry CS, Honey CS, Chalkboard Sheet
Embellishments: Cranberry Baker’s Twine, Hemp Baker’s Twine, Durables Square StudsOther: 3D Foam Tape, Sponge, Microtip Scissors, Bone Folder, Paper Trimmer (Fiskars), Scoring Board (Martha Stewart)

| I created the splatters by using my waterbrush with honey and outdoor denim reinkers and a cranberry ink pad (as I don’t have this color of reinker…how’d that happen? You can see an old tutorial that I did on this technique. It’s super easy and a great alternative to sprays, though you don’t get the same kind of coverage. |
The card above is based on this week’s sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch. I have to say this is becoming one of my favorite challenge blogs. I don’t know, but I think I need to play along more often, as I always love how the cards turn out (like this one, and this one) and now the one above…which I think is my favorite out of all these projects.
Supplies used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Papers: Tommy B&T, White Daisy CS, Outdoor Denim CS
Embellishments: Durables Artistan StudsOther: Waterbrush, 3D Foam Tape, Microtip Scissors, Bone Folder, Paper Trimmer (Fiskars), ATG Adhesive (Scotch)
Did you notice the cool background stamp on this card? It’s just a little sneak peek at one of the new stamp sets being released on August 1st. I was fortunate enough to go to convention this year and we received this stamp set for one of the creative sessions. Pretty cool stamp, huh? If you like it, again, it won’t be available until August 1st, so I can’t link it to my website, but in case you want to make note of it, it is called Geometric Background and the number is D1559.
Also, if you like the flower stamp, it is one of the stamp sets retiring July 31st, so be sure to get it before it’s history. As for the other items that are retiring, check out my previous post here.
The above card is based on two other challenges, Sketchbook Saturday and Pals Paper Arts (though I missed the deadline to enter this one). My blue is very close to the one shown in the PPA swatch, but it’s doesn’t come across as blue when stamped on Desert Sand.
Supplies used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Papers: Desert Sand CS, White Daisy CS
Stamps Used: Geometric Background (avail. 8/1), Love Blooms, 4 My Friend
Inks: Desert Sand, Cranberry, Lagoon, Lagoon Pigment, VersaMark

Like these cute, darling little button brads? Well, head on over to my website where you can pick up 100 of them for only $1.10!!! Of course, with shipping you probably would want to pick up some other items, but hey, there’s still some other really good buys left in the While Supplies Last section. Of course, you can still get the Canvas Art kit for half off and remember if you pick it up this month, you can come to the workshop in August to put it together. You can read about that here.
Supplies used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Papers: Tommy B&T, Outdoor Denim CS
Other: Cricut Artiste, Hook & Loop Dots, Sponge, Bone Folder, Piercing Tool, Bonding Memories Adhesive, ATG Adhesive (Scotch)
If you would like to particpate in this workshop, just let me know, no later than this Saturday, July 13th, to give me time to prepare the workshop kits. Here’s where you can find information about this class.
Until next time…

They are all great, but your favorite one is my favorite, too. 🙂 You used the waterbrush to get the splatters? I never would have thought to do that! Thanks for the inspiration.

Neat take on the challenges. I really like how you used the brads and twine in place of the three round elements on our sketch. Very cool! Thanks for playing along with us at Unscripted Sketches!

I did use the waterbrush for the splatters. I went back in and added that bit of information, so thanks for the question. I did a tutorial on it sometime ago. You can see the photos on how to do it here…http://www.paperheartist.com/2011/10/tutorial-tuesday.html
