January's Stamp of the Month… "This Moment"

Welcome to the CTMH Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!
January 2015’s Stamp of the Month is called…..
****This Moment****

With around 60 participants in this blog hop, you are sure to find lots of great inspiration to start the new year!.  It makes a circle, so if you are starting here just continue until you make your way back and you will have made it through them all. If you have already started and are coming from Kathleen Androlewicz’s blog, “Bowl of Stamps”, then you are on the right track.

To say it’s been a while since I’ve posted would be an understatement.  I needed a little bit of a break from workshops, blog hops, blogging, etc.  I guess you could say that I needed a creative break. Thankfully, the break gave me what I needed and now I’m back! 🙂 Lots of ideas rolling around in my head and I’ll be announcing some of them over the next few weeks, so I hope you will check back from time to time.

In the meantime, I’d love to share with you one of the six layouts I’ve created over the past week or so (I so love winter break!).  The large circle image in the Stamp of the Month is what really drew my attention when I first saw this set in the Annual Inspirations Idea Book back in July.  Don’t ask me why, but for some reason, I had imagined that the circles were separate, individual circles. So I was a little bummed when I received the stamp set and discovered that they were not individual circles, but rather one image. However, I did not let this stop me from getting what I wanted…INDIVIDUAL circles.  So I decided to alter the target image by cutting the circles apart.  I know…cutting stamps is considered sacrilege by some, but what can I say? I like living on the edge! LOL Besides it was EXACTLY what this layout needed.

 Supplies used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):

Papers: Heartstrings B&T, Lagoon CS, White Daisy CS

Stamps Used: This Moment SOTM
Inks: Slate, Lagoon
Emellishments: Heartstrings Complements, Heartstrings Assortment, Stuck on You Puffies
Other: Cricut Artiste, 3D Foam Tape, Microtip Scissors, Paper Trimmer (Fiskars),  ATG Adhesive (Scotch)

Here’s a look at the entire stamp set…

    Fantastic layout!! I LOVE what you did with the circles and I give you major credit for being daring enough to cut these circles apart! Don't get me wrong, I've cut my stamps, but I don't think I have enough precision to cut these circles apart!! haha!! {PS: Glad to see you're back!!}

    Love your layout. I am a little nervous cutting stamps. I usually buy a duplicate if I am going to be that brave. 🙂
