This week’s Cricut project actually uses cuts from all three Close To My Heart Cricut cartridges: Art Philosophy, Artiste and Artbooking.  I used a sketch from Clean & Simple Stamping for inspiration, though oddly, there’s absolutely zero stamping on this card. Did you also notice that it’s not Seaside? LOL  This card uses the fall-themed paper pack called Pathfinding. You, no doubt, will see more of this paper in the coming months.

The square from page 48 of the Artiste cartridge and the scallop border from page 48 of the Artbooking cartridge were welded together using Cricut software (like Cricut Craft Room or Design Space). However, it would be fairly easy to cut them as two individual pieces and hide the seam with ribbon, glitter trim, etc.

Tip: I took a strip of gold shimmer trim (about 4.5″) and peeled and trimmed away a little bit of the backing on both ends and placed it on my trimmer. Removing some of the backing allows it to stick to the trimmer and stay in place so it can be trimmed to a thinner width. I cut 1/8″ to be used on the bottom of the card and the remainder at the top.
